Many Emotions in Melissa’s Photographs – Melissa’nın Fotoğraflarındaki Heyecan
Through photography she points out all elements that the regular eye, in most of the cases, skips or does not notice.
She highlights these elements through an angle and time, where the play of light creates the graphic harmony of composition and with the right angle freezes the moment; a moment that time with its own movement cannot sent to forgetfulness. All these create what is call history or emotion.
The emotional involvement in Melissa’s artistic pictures is inevitable. You find yourself in front of touching images and get deeply involved by them. Melissa’s pictures ‘speak’ immensely, fulfilling their goal and giving her indisputable values as an artist. Her art is very important to other photographers of her age and has influenced their creative work.
It is important to know that she lives her days with and for photography. This collection of images seeks distinguished artistic taste and shows the artistic level of the photographer. I would like to say that in her pictures we notice a process in which are combined, in undefined proportions, aesthetics, philosophy and her psychology.
An important role plays also the emotional situation of the photographer, who often knows what to choose as a motif in specific moments. Often Melissa expresses her photography in a visual way because in her compositions are noticed also her artistic values.
The opening of many personal exhibitions and her participation in many international exhibitions, speak clearly that the photographer and painter Melissa, breaks down with artistry and culture, the essence of the artistic photography.
Her activity is very useful for the development of the artistic photography in Turkey and broader, we hope that this initiative will continue and develop further.

Melissa Mey, fotoğraf yoluyla sıradan bakışların çoğu zaman görmediği ya da atladığı şeyleri yakalıyor.
Işık oyununun, kompozisyonda grafik armoni yarattığı anda; uygun açı ve zamanlamayla bu unsurları ortaya çıkarıyor ve zamanın kendi hareketiyle unutulmazlığa gönderildiği anı, doğru açı ile donduruyor. Tüm bunlar duygu ya da tarih dediğimiz şeyi ortaya çıkarıyor.
Melissa’nın sanatsal fotoğraflarında bulunan heyecan kaçınılmazdır. İnsana temas eden imgeler karşısında kendinizi bulacaksınız ve onlar tarafından derinden kuşatıldığınızı hissedeceksiniz. Melissa’nın fotoğrafları konuşuyor, amacını tam anlamıyla yerine getiriyor ve onun sanatçı olarak tartışılmaz değerini ortaya koyuyor. Onun sanatı kendi çağdaşı sanatçılar arasında büyük bir önem taşıyor ve onların yaratıcı çalışmalarını etkileyecek yapıda.
Melissa’nın tüm günlerini fotoğrafla ve fotoğraf için yaşadığı bilinmeli. Bu imge koleksiyonu, farklı sanatsal lezzetlerin arandığı ve fotoğrafçının sanatsal seviyesinin ortaya çıktığı bir koleksiyon. Onun fotoğraflarında tanımsız oranların, estetiğin, felsefenin ve psikolojisinin bir araya getirildiği bir sürece dikkatimizin çekildiğini söylemek istiyorum.
Hangi özel anların, bir motif olarak seçileceğini çoğu zaman bilen fotoğrafçının duygusal durumu da eserlerde önemli bir rol oynuyor. Melissa fotoğraflarını sıklıkla görsel olarak ön plana çıkarıyor, çünkü onun kompozisyonları sanatçının artistik değerine dikkatimizi çekiyor.
Açtığı pek çok kişisel sergi ve katıldığı pek çok uluslararası sergi, fotoğraf sanatçısı ve ressam Melissa’nın sanatsal fotoğrafın özünü kültür ve sanatla yoğurduğunu gösteriyor.
Çalışmaları Türkiye’de sanatsal fotoğrafçılığın gelişimi ve yayınlaşması için son derece yararlı olacaktır, bu başlangıcın sürmesini ve daha ileriye doğru gelişmesini bekliyoruz.
